Whilst pipes probably aren't top of mind when asking your pool company questions, there are differences between pipes that can be used on pools. There are two different types of pool pipes, PVC and ABS. But the quality of both these types of pipes are not comparable. Ultimately you want to best quality pipes you can get, to ensure they last.
We only use and supply Grey PVC Pipe work in our pool kits and pool builds, instead of the standard white ABS Pipework, due to the quality.
The PVC pipework is superior quality to the ABS and can be used for vaster temperature ranges and resists water with chemicals in it. It’s what's used on commercial installs.
Our Grey PVC Pipe is manufactured to BSEN1452 Rating 50mm pipe has an outer wall thickness of 2.4m, 63mm pipe has an outer wall thickness of 3m.
