It's that time again. Two of our pools have been entered into the UK Pool & Spa Awards 2023. We'll take you on a tour of the pools and what we created and why. Pool Entry No. 1 - BEXLEY POOL
The Residential Outdoor Pool of the year (under £90k)
The Bexley Pool project aims to complement the newly installed basement floor of the family's home with an above-ground swimming pool. The pool should harmoniously integrate with the basement's design and functionality, creating a cohesive and enjoyable indoor-outdoor living space for the family.

This project not only provides a unique and enjoyable recreational area but also contributes to the overall aesthetic and functional appeal of their home. Difficult to access site and levels have been over come to create this amazing family pool to be used all year round.

Tekbox in-ground filtration unit, the area for the plant room was to small for all of the house and pool plant. With the summerhouse already been used the box fit nicely into a sunken area in the garden away from neighbours. Espa pool pump Espa Sand Filter Puroniser; With a family full of young children the thought of swimming in water with the same chlorine content as tap water was very appealing and a lot kinder to their skin and the environment. HEATING: Hydro pro Inverter heat Pump; With the client being involved in renewable energy he was very keen to heat the pool in the most efficient way. Heat exchanger and gas boiler were used for maintaining a comfortable temperature within the pool all year round. The pool was finished in Pebbletech, The pebble forms a completely waterproof layer without the need for a waterproof render/screed coat beneath. Automatic top up; the customer didn't want the worry of water levels when they were away so the top up gives them the reassurance the levels are maintained. Automatic safety cover. Equipment Supplied By SolidPool, Bosta, APS, SCP Incorporate features such as a poolside lounge area, deck, and a small bbq area to enhance the pool area's functionality.

Residential Outdoor Pool of the year (90k to £150k)
The Close Brook Pool project aims to create a family swimming pool that seamlessly integrates with its natural surroundings, providing a serene and eco-friendly retreat for the family. The design and construction should prioritise sustainability, aesthetics, and safety to ensure a harmonious relationship between the pool and its natural environment.
Why this entry deserves to win...
The primary goal was to design a swimming pool that looks like a natural extension of the landscape. It blends in with the existing vegetation, terrain, and architectural elements of the property.
We Incorporated sustainable practices and materials to minimise the pool's environmental impact. This includes efficient water usage, energy-saving equipment, and using eco-friendly construction materials.
We feel we answered the brief perfectly and have created a safe, inviting pool that the family can enjoy for years to come.

Using Solar energy to supply the power the inverter heat pump was the best choice. Aquamatic safety cover, for reducing maintenance and safety from the pets and wildlife entering the pool. Pro Flex On- Site Liner High level Skimmers; all of our pools have a high level skimmers, to minimise the freeze and looks so much nicer to the eye. Automatic top up; the customer didn't want the worry of water levels when they were away so the top up gives them the reassurance the levels are maintained.
