It’s important to know where the kit came from. We see different pool kits thrown together, offering cheap equipment and a real misunderstanding of what is needed to deliver a safe pool.

For us here at orbro POOLS, we use the SolidPool system. Founded in 1911 by the PRAT family, the company manufactured electric motors. The company was then called "PRAT Engines". Monsieur PERROT, the father of Philippe, took over the company that then manufactured cast Iron Pumps intended for industry and irrigation as well as pool pumps.

The name of the company logically changed to be called 'PRAT pumps'. In the 80s, the company took a new turn and added to its range of pool pumps, the sale of everything needed for swimming pool equipment. In 1983, the company took its first steps in pool construction by looking for the ideal product for Building, while responding to customer expectations. And then they had a promising turn in 1995, the Tout Pour L’Eau (everything for water) brand was created. With the setting up of the catalogue dedicated to the Swimming pool for mail order (the internet business didn't exist yet!)

After distributing different structures, in 2001 Philippe PERROT decided to create a pool kit, to have his own product that would dominate the market and he would be happy building with. The encounter Mr. PERNET manager of a plastic company (subsidiary LAFUMA®) and Philippe PERROT enabled the development of SolidPool® in an ultra-modern factory in France.Their knowledge was perfect, for one the knowledge of plastics and industrial tools, for the other the market and technical characteristics required for pools, which allowed the development of the structure. Many patents have been filed with the INPI.

SolidPool wanted to move towards a 100% concrete structure which corresponds to the demand from the French and global market. The vision was also to have a product easy to use, even by a single person. The first pools are sold and built in 2002. In 2005, after 3 years of implementation, SolidPool campaigned to improve the product, using the product on a daily basis gives them first-hand experience of what is needed.
