WHY CLIPBLOX FOR A POOL
Empower
Growth
Not all Pool structures
are created equal.
ClipBlox combines steel reinforcement and concrete to create a 150mm monolithic reinforced-concrete pool structure — with lightweight permanent formwork that makes it faster and easier to build.

CLIPBLOX POOL SHELL
A monolithic structure
built for the longterm
Clipblox creates a 150mm reinforced
concrete wall with permanent
lightweight formwork. The result is a
strong durable and flexible pool
structure built on site.
Monolithic concrete pool shell
Faster and easier to build
Design freedom shape and size
Simple logistics
Wide choice of finishes
long term sustainable solution

SPRAYED SHELLS
A concrete shell, sprayed
to different shapes
Sprayed concrete pools are formed
by spraying a concrete mix over steel
reinforcement. They work well but is a highly specialist install.
Only as good as the sprayer
More prone to surface variations
Requires alot of timber
Alot of joins in the concrete
Needs to rendered
Can be a messy job on site

TRADITIONAL BLOCKWORK
More labour. More
materials slower to build
Traditional pool construction
involves laying hundreds of individual
masonary blocks and mortar joints
to create the walls.
Labour intensive
Many joints
Slower construction
Higher risk of cracking
Punishing on the body
Needs rendering

ONE PIECE POOLS
Designed for the lorry
Not your garden
One-piece pools are manufactured
in a factory and must be transported
to site and lifted into position, which
can limit access and design options
Requires road access and crane
restricted by Set sizes and shapes
Difficult or impossible on many sites
Limited design flexibility
Finish limited to the factory shell
Classed as a rigid liner

ICF POOLS
Concrete Strength.
With a foam sandwich
ICF systems also rely on a
reinforced-concrete core, with
permanent layers of EPS insualtion
on both sides of the concrete
Thick layers of EPS insulation
Higher Material cost
Finishing options difficult
More complex detailing
Environmental impact of EPS
Cant guarantee it wont burst

PANEL POOLS
A collection of Panels.
Not a monolithic structure
Panel pools use prefabricated wall
panels joined together. The structure
relies on mechanical connections
and a separate waterproof finish system.
Multiple panel joints
Design limited by panel sizes
Liner finish only
Wooden ones will rot
Not suitable in all ground
Cant always be emptied
A POOL IS A STRUCTURE
A swimming pool isn't a bath, it's a water retaining structure
A pool holds tens of tons of water, it has to withstand constant pressure from the inside, earth and groundwater outside, temperature changes and. the loads from the surrounding landscaping, terraces and buildings.
They're exactly the engineering problems reinforced concrete is designed to solve.
Steel Reinforcement
.png)
Provides tensile strength and mitigates cracking
Steel reinforcement works with the concrete to create a strong, stable structure, helping the pool shell resist movement and control cracking over the long term.
Structural Concrete
.png)
Creates the mass and compressive strength
Concrete surrounds the steel reinforcement to create a solid, stable structure capable of resisting the forces acting on the pool shell.
Monolithic Construction
.png)
Turns reinforcement and concrete into one structure
The concrete and steel work together throughout the shell, creating a continuous structure designed to act as one.
We're not adapting a product to behave like a pool structure.
We're designing and building a pool structure
